The "hallway"......

I'm sure we've all heard the phrase: "When one door closes, another door opens.

But the "HALLWAY" is a bitch!" (Pardon the language. 📷😜)

For me, 2017 was a year of closing doors; most of which I closed by choice. And for each door that closed, MANY doors opened. But I've been hanging out in the "hallway," unsure of what to do next.

The natural tendency is to retreat; to go back to our comfort zones. We do this for various "reasons," but the root cause is fear of the unknown.

However, retreat is NOT an option for me. I cannot "un-know" what I know nor "un-grow" my growth.

So here I stand in the "hallway," and indeed it IS the "b" word!

There are so many doors to choose from; doors that could lead me to realizing my biggest goals and wildest dreams. Yet, nothing is certain, nor will it ever be. I have grown weary of hanging out in the "hallway" of indecision. So I've decided to run, not walk, into the unknown; and give it my best shot.

I'm sure there are many of you having similar experiences. So I want to urge you, don't retreat to the familiar. It's BEHIND you for a REASON. And don't beat yourself up for hanging out in the "hallway." But when you get sick and tired of being sick and tired, pick a door and run for it! If it doesn't work out, no worries!

There will always be more "hallways" and doors.

There's a BIG world out there; and it's ADVENTURE time!!

Happy Wednesday!

Thank you Kristy for letting me share such an amazing post!

I was given this saying many years ago for Christmas by my son Zach.

My sons and husband have always believed in me no matter what I wanted to do, they would said, YOU CAN DO IT!

That means so much to hear this, when many times we doubt ourselves.

Today, I had a good friend post, she had her dreams of becoming a speaker and writing her book a reality! This made my heart sing with joy for her. I have been with her ,watching her journey, learning about her life and no matter what the setbacks she faced, she never stopped believing in herself and her dreams.

She said, Never Give up! Never Give in! Never let your mind tell you any different!

"She believed she could so she did "

I love to see a calendar filled with more events than I could ever dream of attending.

Last week we had an ice storm that ended up canceling a lot of my appointments and events keeping me stuck at home.

I knew what I should have done was spent the day rescheduling but I didn't, so I was looking for new events and places that would be beneficial to check out.

I found an event that is a night out for ladies to network and connect their businesses tomorrow night, of course I want to go and take everyone I know with me! They expect 200 ladies will attend, this sounds so incredible.

I messaged the promoter and she visited with me sharing she would not be able to attend her event due to she has the flu.

You know me, I had to ask, is there anything I can do to help you ? She was so grateful and said well yes I could use you to be a greeter!! I was like Whoo Hoo! of course I said yes.

Why am I getting to do this, because I ask, how may I serve you? Its not about me, when you place others needs before your own beautiful things happen for everyone.

This is just one of those God Connections, God Winks, they happen to us when we least expect them. They make us smile, feel blessed and create incredible way to connect, serve and give back.
